Welcome Stamp — Barbados Visa
Por Dieter Deutzman de Wardenclyffe, Inc.
The Government of Barbados has introduced a twelve-month migration visa under the name of Welcome Stamp, which allows visitors to acquire some immigration status and to work remotely and digitally on a regular basis from Barbados.
Barbados is making an effort to attract businessmen and businesswomen, once their flights are resumed, who want to work without the need to be physically in a place and with more flexible tax options comparable to the different countries in the world.
The Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has stated that the “Welcome Stamp” will allow people to come here and work digitally abroad, therefore people don’t need to stay in the countries where their jobs are located, which provokes an unmatched accessibility among other visas that could be provided within another country.
So, you do not need to work in your country of origin, you could just go to Barbados and work there for a couple of months in a row, withdraw from it and return when the participant likes.
Why is Barbados offering such a world-class product? One of the main reasons is the COVID-19 pandemic, which proved that short-term travelers are way harder to have them tested since the accuracy of their results is less reliable due to their short stay and self-isolation period.
Consequently, Barbados is offering only the PCR tests, which are more accurate and the turnaround time is an average of 48 hours.
According to the aforesaid, the requirements to apply for the said visa are the following:
• Passport size photograph: main applicant and all the other members of its family group over 18 years old (if applicable)
• Passport Biographical data page: main applicant and all the other members of its family group (if applicable)
• Applicant Birth Certificate and all the other members of his family group (if applicable)
• Relationship proof of the applicant with all the other members of its family group (birth, adoption documents, marriage certificate, and any other document)
